Tow Vehicles

Travelhome's low height and general overall size relative to other RV's means a huge weight saving, this weight saving allows customers to choose from a wider range of tow vehicles.

Many people today prefer to choose a tow vehicle which also serves as their every day drive vehicle when back at home, a vehicle you can take to the shopping centre, use for work or take the kids to school in.  These smaller style tow vehicles such as those shown here are one of the main reasons Travelhome is Australia's favourite fifth wheeler (you do not have to buy a larger more expensive vehicle to tow a Travelhome).

Ford, Holden, Nissan, Toyota and Mazda, amongst others, all have suitable tow vehicles for Travelhome in their product ranges.  Customers can also select from single cab, extra cab and dual cab models.

It is the manufacturer who specifies the capacities of their vehicles.   If you feel you are still getting misleading information and are a little confused, please contact us direct at Travelhome by phone or email to get more help with tow vehicles.

Please note that the above should be treated as a guide only and Travelhome does not accept responsibility for accuracy as manufacturer specifications may change due to product refinements, availability and supply. Each customer should confirm towing capacities with the respective tow vehicle dealer. Other vehicles may be suitable with modifications.

Please note that there is no “ball weight limit” imposed on a Travelhome as per a conventional caravan because the load on the hitch is supported by the tray / chassis of the tow vehicle and not just the towbar as is the case when fitted to a sedan, wagon or 4x4 .
